In March 2015 the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was directed by the government to formulate and implement the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. The government planned to target class 10 and class 12 dropouts and lower-income groups and impart skills training to 24 lakh youth.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2.0

The government has extended the time frame for its scheme, pmkvy Franchise for 4 more years. The government has allocated a budget of INR 12000 Crores for the Yojana. The aim of the government is to impart skill development training to 10 million youth.

The scheme covers

Short Term Training will benefit the youth who are school or college dropouts or are unemployed. The training centers will also provide soft skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy. The time period of the training depends on the skills and job role. The training period ranges from 150 hours to 300 hours. The training centers will help the students with placements. PMKVY Franchise Features

Before applying for a franchise the training center must go through the static format of CAAF (Centre Accreditation Application Form) to understand the details and all the documents required for successful submission of CAAF. You then have to apply for accreditation for the training center from the Central Accreditation and Affiliation. The application can be filled both online or offline.
