Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a skills development program started by the Government Of India under the leadership of Prime Minister of the country. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana History
With the launch of the Make in India campaign by the Government of India, the Prime Minister of the country invited investors from all around the world to come and invest in India. Under this campaign the government wants the companies from all around the globe to come and set up their business in India. The Prime Minister promised the presence of a lot of skilled labor in India to these companies.
The government wanted skill development amongst the youth of the country. Therefore, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana was launched. The primary aim of this Yojana is to impart skills-based training to young men and women. Skills-based learning will help these young men and women to earn a living for themselves. It will also help the government in realizing its goal of reducing poverty in the nation.
In March 2015 the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was directed by the government to formulate and implement the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. It was to be done through the National Skill Development Corporation. The budget allocated to the Yojana was INR 1500 crore. The government planned to target class 10 and class 12 dropouts and lower-income groups and impart skills training to 24 lakh youth.
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship took three months to formulate the plan and its implementation started by June 2015. The scheme rolled out from the state of Bihar. On July 15th, the scheme was launched nationwide.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2.0
The government has extended the time frame for its scheme, pmkvy Franchise for 4 more years. The government has allocated a budget of INR 12000 Crores for the Yojana. The aim of the government is to impart skill development training to 10 million youth.
The scheme covers
Short Term Training will benefit the youth who are school or college dropouts or are unemployed. The training centers will also provide soft skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy. The time period of the training depends on the skills and job role. The training period ranges from 150 hours to 300 hours. The training centers will help the students with placements. The Government will fund the entire training and assessment fees.
Recognition of Prior Learning: The students who have prior learning experience will be certified for the same.
Special Projects: The training centers will provide special training for skills that are not mentioned in the Qualification Packs or the National Occupational Standards.

PMKVY Franchise Features

All the training centers, whether public or private will have to go through the process set up by the Central Accreditation and Affiliation. PMKVY Franchise Cost
The registration fee to start a franchise under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna scheme is INR 12000. The annual monitoring fee is INR 8000. It is the fee paid by the franchisee to be monitored for the centers activities. A fee of INR 1000 is to be paid by the franchisee for every job role skill the training center wants to be affiliated with.

How to Apply For Franchise under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana
Before applying for a franchise the training center must go through the static format of CAAF (Centre Accreditation Application Form) to understand the details and all the documents required for successful submission of CAAF. You then have to apply for accreditation for the training center from the Central Accreditation and Affiliation. The application can be filled both online or offline.
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a scheme by the Government of India to help provide skills to the school and college dropouts and people who belong to the lower income group. Under the scheme the government lets both public and private run training centers to give skills training to the students and help them with job applications.
